Tally Top Pet Winners at the Springtime Tallahassee Parade

Meet Our 2016 Tally Top Pet & Tally Top Dog: Carter

Carter is handsome, humble and NO LONGER HOMELESS! He is 10.5 years old and was “doin’ time” at Bainbridge Decatur County Humane Society, but now he’s spending his retirement years in a happy, loving home. Thanks to the support of the good people at the Bainbridge Decatur Humane Society, Carter not only got a lot of attention, he also got a lot of votes. If you are in search of finding a pet to provide a forever home to, we hope you’ll keep them in mind. They have a whole lot of pets and even more heart!

Meet Our 2016 City Kitty: Bo

Bo was adopted from Novey Animal Hospital this past summer and joined our home of 2 other cats and 2 dogs. Bo has a huge personality and loves all of his fur siblings and his 2 humans. Bo’s fun fact is that he was named Cheddar Biscuit by the staff at Novey, and was renamed after my favorite biscuit at Bojangles (his full name is Cheddar Bo).

Meet Our 2016 Horse of Course: Razzle Dazzle

Razzle Dazzle is a horse that Lilly and others ride at her barn ride. She is a great big beautiful horse.

Meet Our 2016 Lil' Critter: Cocoa

Cocoa is a two-year-old guinea pig. He likes to eat veggies and hay, take lots of naps, and be cuddled. He has an extensive wardrobe of vests and accessories for holidays and other occasions.

Your Support Makes a Difference

Every dollar raised by the Tally Top Pet Photo Contest is used to support Be The Solution in providing low cost spay and neuter vouchers in our community. Be the Solution had a record-breaking year in 2015 with more than 3,407 spay and neuter surgeries completed. This resulted in the total number of animals fixed through this program to15,060. More importantly, Animal Shelter intakes decreased dramatically over the past several years. In 2014, the shelter’s pet intake number was 5,994 — a decrease of nearly 5,000 animals since 2009. Euthanasia rates have decreased as well and are about 40% of shelter intakes.

In addition to entering and voting, you can show your support with a donation to Be the Solution.
